The primary goals of IT@Cornell are:

  • Delivering savings to campus in infrastructure consolidation and virtualization and IT Service Management (previously called end-user support)
  • Creating a plan for applications support
  • Implementing multiple enterprise systems in Fiscal Year 2012
  • Making daily operations far more robust

Activities are a partnership between central IT, campus IT, and stakeholders across Cornell, including end users. A variety of structured forums and groups are being used for dialogue, feedback, planning, and fine tuning processes. At the same time, work is proceeding to set up an informed strategic planning process for IT at Cornell.
